Canadian Seed Trade Association
The Canadian Seed Trade Association (CSTA) was founded in 1923. It represents the interests of 127 member companies that are engaged in all aspects of seed research, production and marketing, both domestically and internationally.
CSTA's membership ranges from companies that market garden seed and herbs to large western grain handlers and from small, family-run businesses to large multinational corporations. Members work with seed from 50 principal crops, including grains, oilseeds, pulses, forage and turf grasses, specialty crops, flowers, vegetables and fruits.
On behalf of its members, CSTA advocates for national and international regulatory, policy and trading environments that foster innovation and investment in the Canadian seed industry .
